Become a Guardian Angel Today!

Every animal that comes to the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter has special needs of his or her own.  Some require immediate medical attention, like John Paul, a St. Bernard that had suffered a broken pelvis from being hit by a car.  Others have emotional scars, like Boo, one of 15 emotionally neglected dogs rescued from an animal hoarder.  No matter what happened to them before they arrived, our goal is to meet the needs of every animal in our care.  The Guardian Angel program allows you to have a direct impact on the lives of these homeless cats and dogs.  Your contributions help with everything from routine vaccinations to spaying or neutering, special diets or medications, and allow us the freedom to give the animals as much time as they need to recover and wait for their forever families to find them.
Many Guardian Angels choose to make monthly contributions, while others send one donation yearly with their membership donation.  Some Angels donate as much as $100 a month, others donate smaller amounts.  You will receive a monthly newsletter with pictures and stories about individual animals and their journeys with us.  Every donation is greatly appreciated; without your generosity we could not continue our work of caring for the homeless cats and dogs that need us.
Becoming a Guardian Angel means you care about the welfare of animals in your community.

Shelter pets are not rejects or defective in some way.  Many have been trained and easily fit into a new home.  As anyone who has ever adopted will tell you, shelter pets are eternally grateful!
