The ability of any rescue or shelter to care for animals usually centers around available resources.  Plainly put, many of the decisions we make regarding the cats and dogs that come through our doors are made based on how much money is in the bank.  And, like most shelters, that's never much.

So, don't be nervous or intimidated by your preconceived notions of what fundraising is all about.  You do not need to go door to door asking for cash handouts.  (Although, you're welcome to!)  Most of what fundraisers do involves general event planning, clerical kind of stuff, and working at the events.  And the more of you that get involved, the more events we can have, the more successful each event can be, and, ultimately, the more lives we can save.
