GLAAS Foster-To-Adopt Program

The pets offered through this program may have quirks or eccentricities that have prevented them from finding a permanent home.  The purpose of the ‘Adoption Auditions’ program is to offer potential adopters the opportunity to spend some time with one of these future celebrities in their home before casting them in a permanent role as a family member.

The goal of this program is to encourage potential adopters to take a second look at the older cat, or the dog on a special diet, or the pet that just needs a little more TLC to become a star.

By signing below I/we agree to the following:

I/we will provide for all of ____________________ needs while in my care, including but not limited to food, veterinary care, toys/treats, litter, exercise, training, and affection.

I/we understand that introductions to our other pets should only happen under the direction and/or supervision of GLAAS staff.  This is to both prevent the spread of any and all contagions and to avoid the risk of aggression and fighting.

I/we will call the shelter immediately to address any concerns we have during the foster period.

I/we will contact the shelter on or before ____________________ to either return or adopt this pet.

I/we accept the animal as is, and assume all risks of ownership, without warranties or representations not expressed herein. I hereby release GLAAS, its directors and officers, staff and volunteers, from any liability associated with any illness or condition of or transmitted by, or damage caused by the described animal. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless GLAAS, its directors and officers, staff and volunteers, from any action, suits, fees, or expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising out of my adoption of this animal. If/when I return this animal to GLAAS for any reason, I agree not to make any claims against GLAAS for any expenses I may have incurred in caring for this animal.
